THE OUTPOUR
Black Love
By Michelle Karen
Raw.
Real emotions that are not ignored.
Feelings that are inevitably brought to the surface because of the comfort of vulnerability with each
other.
No masks,
just acknowledged sensitivity.
Sacrificial.
It’s not just one person, it’s the other too.
Sacrificial because of love.
Sacrificial love makes lovers deny themselves and live for each other.
So beautiful.
Uncomfortable.
Beauty presented in a different lens.
Not used to the emotional fragility within yourself that wants to be kept inside.
A strong front.
That’s what your mind says when life gets hard in your relationship.
But your heart wants to be vulnerable,
so allow it to be.
No comfort means growth.
Remember that.
Undeniable.
Chemistry that’s beyond question.
Forced together because even God’s creation around you agrees.
As the night sky needs stars to glisten,
you need each other to brighten the world around you.
Love so indisputable, that to be without each other goes against God’s character.
Life changing.
This love opens your eyes to see the world brighter again.
You see everything from a loving point of view that inspires those around you to believe in love again
too.
Black excellence.
That’s more of what the world needs.
Generation changing.
Cycles are broken.
Why?
Because you’re doing love the right way.
Definitely not the easiest journey but worth it.
Your children will live better lives because of it.
